Introduction
Meet Harmony Crawford
Having lived in Brier since 2008, our recent annexation to South County Fire (SCF) and the election for District 1 Fire Commissioner represent an important decision for local communities. As a mother of two boys, considerations of safety are frequently top of mind, and I cherish the role our firefighters and first responders play in keeping us all safe. Ensuring our fire departments have the resources, support, policy alignment, and advocacy to effectively serve community members is paramount.
My business experience showcases a series of successes in leadership, navigating budgetary considerations through times of both rapid growth and occasional retraction, and includes management in union environments. My approach has always been with a people-first mindset, focusing on what’s best for individuals, teams, and families, while balancing with smart organizational strategies. The social and environmental impacts of the decisions made must be taken into consideration.
My commitment to hard work and effective communication means I’ll bring transparency to the Fire Commissioner role, and I’ll do what it takes to make sure communities understand the decision making processes, and that our firefighters and emergency response teams have what they need to be most effective. Thank you for your vote!
